How much tax does a delivery driver pay in the UK?
Delivery drivers (Deliveroo, Just Eat, Amazon Flex) are self-employed and pay income tax on net profit. For 2025/26, the first £12,570 is tax-free, then 20% up to £50,270, and 40% above that. Class 4 NI is 6% on profits between £12,571 and £50,270. Key deductions include mileage, delivery equipment, phone costs, and protective clothing.
